Mister Supranational Philippines Johannes Rissler looking to start a music career

By Ron Lim
Mister Supranational Philippines Johannes Rissler is hoping to reach audiences beyond the Philippines with his songs.

Johannes Rissler, who recently represented the country in the Mister Supranational pageant in Poland, is aiming to stay in the entertainment industry as part of his post-pageant plans.

During a homecoming organized by the the Miss Universe Philippines organization for him and Miss Supranational Philippines and The Miss Philippines Pauline Amelinckx, Johannes shared that he intends to start a music career.

The push to start a music career came about after the positive reception he received during the Mister Supranational pageant's talent competition.

“Kung nakita n'yo 'yung talent competition ko, when I got to share 'yung song ko, feeling ko okay na ako. Kahit anong maging result, okay na ako dahil nakapag-share na ako ng music, which was the target,” he said.

Johannes is planning to release songs not just in Tagalog, but Bisaya and English as well as a way to cater to an audience outside of the country.

“I'm going to release my own songs soon. Merong Tagalog song, merong Bisaya song, merong ding English song. Isa rin kasing nangyari after nung performance ko, maraming lumapit asking anong title nung song, saying they liked the song. In a way, nakakuha ako ng listeners outside of the Philippines. I need to release a song na maiintindihan nila,” he explained.

Johannes isn't the only one looking to stay in the entertainment world. During the same homecoming, Pauline told GMANetwork.com that she is looking to continue hosting pageants after her Miss Supranational stint and help other women on their journey towards empowerment.

“I am still so much into hosting pageants. It's not just about me joining pageants as to why I like pageants. It's really just the overall idea of it, of being part of another woman's journey towards becoming even more empowered and even more capable and reaching her own greatness. I'd really like to continue hosting other pageants,” she said.

Further down the road, Pauline is also eyeing a lifestyle show, either one offered to her or something that she creates on her social media channels.

“I'd also like to become a host of a travel, lifestyle or beauty show and if not maybe create that content myself. I'm the kind of person that really likes to plan it out all in her head first step by step. That's really my own nature,” she shared. “I'm going to have to talk to other creatives and pick their brain as well and talk to other people as well who can help me capture those moments and scenes to make sure it's beautiful content that other people are going to watch and learn from.”

Pauline will facing this new challenge with a lot of buzz behind her. Aside from finishing the Miss Supranational pageant in second place, she also made it into the finals of the Supra Chat challenge alongside fellow candidates from Canada, India, Peru, and South Africa.
