NLEX Road Warriors management terminates contract of J.R. Quiñahan
The NLEX Road Warriors has decided to terminate the contract of their forward-center player Joseph Ronald “J.R.” Quiñahan.
In a report by GMA News Online on May 3, Quiñahan was among the players who were slapped fines by the Philippine Basketball Association for playing in unsanctioned leagues.
In their statement released today (May 6), they have found out that Quiñahan has committed several infractions of his Uniform Players' Contract.
“The NLEX Road Warriors have decided to terminate the remaining contract of Joseph Ronald 'J.R.' Quiñahan,” the statement read.
“Following a thorough investigation, it was found that Quiñahan had committed several infractions of his Uniform Players' Contract, including among others, playing in unsanctioned games without seeking clearance from NLEX management and the Philippines Basketball Association.”
“NLEX Road Warriors thank Quiñahan for his services to the team and wish him luck in his future endeavors,” it added.
JR Quiñahan stands at least 6'6” and played for the University of the Visayas during his collegiate years.
