Jennie Kim talks about her first Met Gala

Jennie Kim marks her first Met Gala visit, here's how it went.

BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim was at the recent Met Gala, making her debut on the event's red carpet.

In an interview with host and content creator Emma Chamberlain, Jennie shared how she's feeling about her very first Met Gala.

"I was really excited until I got off my car, like two minutes ago." Jennie revealed.

One thing Jennie was looking forward to was how guests sit with their dresses. "I see people wearing these crazy dresses, I'm so curious to see how they sit down," Jennie shared with a laugh.

Jennie also described her outfit, which was in line with this year's Met Gala theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," a tribute to the German designer who passed away in 2019 at 85.

"I'm wearing Chanel from the '90s runway. I'm so lucky to have the Chanel team, [they] recreated this look from the '90s, the one that Karl did. So I'm just like, so happy."

Emma told Jennie, "Congratulations, you look beautiful, you are gonna have the best time in there."

When asked what the biggest mystery was for her, Jennie shared, "I would say literally everything because it's my first, I don't know what to expect."

Jennie also mentioned BLACKPINK member Rosé Park who was an attendee for the Met Gala in 2022.

"Rosé was here last year, and she told me, just have fun. So that's the plan for today, I'm gonna go have fun."

Recently, Jennie trended online for her performance at Coachella 2023 with the rest of BLACKPINK where they headlined the musical festival.

BLACKPINK is currently on their “Born Pink World Tour.” They visited the Philippines for their concert at The Philippine Arena on March 25 and 26, 2023.
