SHINee's Taemin announces solo fan meet following discharge from military service

By Aimee Anoc
After two years, Shawols will finally be able to see SHINee's Taemin perform live again.

SHINee's Taemin is back!

On Tuesday, April 4, the K-pop idol was officially discharged from his two-year mandatory military service. SM Entertainment marked the occasion by releasing a dance practice video of Taemin.

On the same day, Taemin wrote a handwritten letter to his fans expressing his feeling to be back.

"I missed you so much that even saying, 'I miss you,' is not enough, and I believe everyone who believed in me and waited for me must have felt the same way as I did. Funny enough that this kind of thinking gives me more strength and is also one of the reasons that made me mature," he wrote, according to a translation on Soompi.

To finally be able to greet his fans in person, Taemin will be holding a two-day solo fan meeting titled "RE:ACT" on April 22 and 23 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. KST.

The event will be held at the Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Seoul. The fan meeting will also be live-streamed via Beyond LIVE for international fans. General pre-sale tickets will begin on April 13 and April 17 for general sale.

Lee Tae-min, known by his stage name Taemin, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and dancer. He debuted as a member of SHINee in May 2008.
