Tom Rodriguez, tuloy ang pagguhit para sa 'Guhit Pantawid: Portraits for a Cause' sa kabila ng pressure

Inilunsad ng real-life couple na sina Tom Rodriguez at Carla Abellana ang fundraising na “Guhit Pantawid: Portraits for a Cause” kung saan ang kapalit ng mga donasyon para sa mga daily wage earner ay drawings at sketches mula sa aktor.

Ang Kapuso actor ang personal na gumuguhit ng mga ihahandog sa mga donors. Ang malilikom na halaga ay magiging tulong para sa mga vendor, tricycle driver, at construction worker na apektado ng coronavirus pandemic.

Espesyal umano ito kay Tom dahil first time niyang tumanggap ng commission artworks at maraming tao ang maaabot ng kanyang pagtulong.

Ibinahagi rin ng aktor na nagagawa niyang matapos ang mga sinimulan niyang artwork dahil responsibilidad ang tingin niya rito.

“Ngayon 'pag umaabot ako sa punto na 'yon, I want to stop and move to something else, it holds me accountable. Because this is for a purpose, this is for a reason,” aniya.

Gayunman, kahit may nararamdamang pressure, tuloy pa rin ang pagguhit ni Tom para sa mga taong nangangailangan ng tulong.

“After ko matapos i-drawing and signed it, I put a little message for them. That way…grabe 'yung pasasalamat ko sa kanila because I know how difficult the circumstances are now and they are extending themselves out para lang matulungan din 'yung mga daily wage earner sa 'tin,” dagdag pa niya.

Samantala, pinaalalahanang muli ni Carla ang publiko na manatili sa kanilang mga bahay bilang tulong sa pagsupo ng COVID-19 crisis sa bansa.

“Ang daming nagi-guilty na hindi sila makapagbigay ng tulong but staying at home is really the best way to think and help. 'Wag tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. Sulitin na lang natin 'yung time natin para makapagpahinga, na gawin 'yung mga hobbies,” aniya.
