Sandy Andolong returns to taping after kidney transplant

By Bianca Geli
Following her kidney transplant, Sandy Andolong is back to work for an episode of 'Wish Ko Lang'

Despite undergoing a kidney transplant, there's no stopping actress Sandy Andolong from returning to work in the new normal.

In 24 Oras Chika Minute's report from Lhar Santiago on Friday, Sandy shared she will be appearing in Saturday's Wish Ko Lang episode with Ysabel Ortega, Psalms David, and Chanel Lattore.

When asked if she had any hesitation in working amid the new normal after her surgery, Sandy told 24 Oras, "Walang fear on my part, well for one, I know I'm protected by God. Secondly, basta I'm careful and the people around me, I have to say itong sa taping namin, talagang super careful silang lahat."

Sandy also uses prayers as her way of keeping in touch with her family. While Sandy and husband Christopher de Leon's beauty queen daughter Mariel de Leon is still living with them, four of her children are living abroad and can only stay in touch using video calls.

She said, "Si Bo (Boyet) started having a bible study with the children. So once a week nagvi-video call kami. In a way nase-share-an namin sa mga bata 'yung Salita ng Panginoon."

In this week's upcoming episode, Sandy will portray the mother of Ysabel Ortega's character who is known for shedding tears with blood, hence the episode title "Lumuluha ng Dugo."

Watch Wish Ko Lang this Saturday at 4PM on GMA-7.
