In a new vlog, Mariel Padilla challenged herself to only eat green-colored food for 24 hours.
Celebrity mommy Mariel Padilla takes on another fun challenge for her vlog.
This time, she will try to only eat green-colored food for a whole day.
"The challenge is to only eat green things for 24 hours. So '24-hour green challenge' is what we're gonna call it. I have no problem eating veggies. Pero of course, it's different na talagang naka-schedule na everything that I'm going to eat is just green," she says in the beginning of the video.
Wearing a green blouse and a green headband, Mariel heads off to breakfast.
"I made special green pandesal. Ginawa ko talaga 'to kagabi. Sabi ko paano kaya magiging interesting 'yung green challenge? So ito, pandan 'yang pandesal. We also made pandan pancakes para green lahat," she explains before starting off with some tea which is safe for breastfeeding moms.
For lunch, Mariel prepared a lot of vegetable dishes.
"'Pag green kasi talaga ang una nating iniisp, mga gulay. Today, mayroon tayong steamed okra. Mayroon din tayong talong. May confession ako, hindi ako kumakain ng ampalaya pero for the first time today, I will try," she says.
Mariel takes a few bites of the ampalaya then gives it a quick review.
"Sasabihin ko sana na hindi naman pala masama 'yung lasa. Pero habang tumatagal, doon pala pumapasok. Ang pait! Ang pait ng ampalaya! Alam ko na maraming health benefits ito. Pero bakit 'yung face ko iba doon sa sinasabi ko," she says.
She ends the meal with green tea matcha cheesecake for dessert.
For dinner, Mariel has some pesto pasta, kale and avocado shake and a side of sitaw and some green sili.
"Kaya ko kayang kagatin ito ng raw? Try natin. Raw ha? Raw! hilaw," she says as she takes a bit of the green sili.
"'Pag nahahanginan parang umaanghang ulit. Pero challenge ko 'to sa sarili ko," she says as she finishes the sili.
She washes off the spicy taste with kale and avocado shake and an ice cream bar.
