Jonas Gaffud on tiff with Miss Germany: 'Let's forgive and forget'
Did the beauty queen maker already forgive Miss Germany for allegedly misleading him of Pia's whereabouts after the pageant?

Beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud, the mentor of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, recounted the controversial crowning moment of this year’s prestigious pageant.

During the announcement of finalists, he was so nervous that he went to the comfort room where he heard of Miss Colombia’s victory.
Upon entering the venue once again, he saw host Steve Harvey walking towards the center stage. He said, “Palabas ulit si Steve Harvey. ‘Pag labas niya, nag-‘Hi!’ siya sa mga tao ulit [at] ‘di pa siya nag-apologize the first part eh. Parang bigla kami nag-'Boo!' Hindi ko alam bakit kami nag-'Boo!' Hindi 'Boo!' na 'Ba’t ganun?' [It’s like] 'Boo!' lang na 'What’s happening?' and then nang nag-apologize siya, alam na namin. Dun kami nagsigawan na may miracle pala. Akala ko wala eh, akala ko final na ‘yun eh.”
After the pageant, Gaffud and his team crossed paths with Miss Germany, Sarah Lorraine Riek, who misled his camp by saying the Filipina beauty already flew to New York. This prompted him to post on Facebook of his experience with the finalist which eventually went viral.
Riek owned up to her mistake and apologized to Gaffud through an e-mail. He said on social media, “I got a message from Miss Germany apologizing for everything. I won’t go into details na super haba na letter of apology. So let’s forgive and forget. Start the year right!”

It was also discussed in his interview on Unang Hirit yesterday (January 6). He added, “In-explain niya kasi na parang she’s just a little girl ganyan, ganyan. But, you know, you’re in Miss Universe and you’re joining a beauty pageant not to fight with people, not to create ‘gulo’ so dapat mas naging kalmado kayo.”
