Charee Pineda, balik-Kapuso!

Last August 6, 2013, Charee Pineda signed a three-year contract with GMA Network. She will soon be playing the character of Agatha in the upcoming show Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas alongside Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe. GMANetwork.com caught up with her in this exclusive interview and asked her about her return to the Kapuso network and her upcoming Telebabad show.
Last August 6, 2013, Charee Pineda signed a three-year contract with GMA Network. She will soon be playing the character of Agatha in the upcoming show Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas alongside Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe.
Charee first appeared in the GMA Afternoon show Ikaw Sa Puso Ko (2004). As she returns to GMA, she will be portraying her first kontrabida role in Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas.
GMANetwork.com caught up with her in this exclusive interview.
“Sobrang happy dahil official na iyong pagiging Kapuso ko. Kasi kapag lumalabas ako, ‘Oh Kapuso ka na ba? Yes, pero wala akong contract eh.’ Ngayon, iba pala ang feeling kapag nag-contract signing ka na at iyong mga heads ng GMA ay winelcome ka, dito mismo sa network. Masarap ang feeling,” she enthused.
Charee takes on the challenge of portraying a role that she isn’t used to. “Ngayon nagshoot ako for Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas. I play the role of Agatha. Kontrabida siya so ibang-iba talaga sa mga previous roles ko,”she shared.
Because of the trust given to her by GMA Network, Charee takes things seriously when it comes to acting. “Nanuod ako ng iba’t ibang shows ng GMA, ng mga kontrabida dito [sa GMA], para at least naman makakuha ako ng style. Bukod sa sariling aral, makakakuha rin ako sa iba. Nanuod ako ng mga movies ni Angelina Jolie kasi medyo may pagkaganun iyong character ni Agatha. “
She further shared, “Tinawagan lang nila ako eh. Nuong lumipat ako sa GMA, sinabi nila sa akin na I’ll be part of Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas pero dumaan pa rin naman sa screening at pinag-pair na kami ni Rocco [Nacino].”
When asked how it is working with Rocco Nacino, “Okay naman kasi di naman nagkakalayo iyong age namin. So nag-jive pa, kuwentuhan sa set before mag-take. At saka, okay din dahil alam niya kasi na bago lang ako so talagang nag-eeffort sila na i-welcome ako ng maayos para di ako mahiya. “
Working with Lovi Poe, the show's lead star, on the other hand isn’t new for Charee, “Before nakakasama ko siya sa mga guestings like Maynila. Sinasabi ko nga sa kanya ‘Oh, Lovi ang payat mo.’ Binigyan pa nga niya ako ng juice na tinitake niya pang-detox,” she revealed.
