Before the pandemic, Kapuso actress Katrina Halili was always busy working on different shows, especially when she became part of the hit afternoon drama 'Prima Donnas,' starring Jillian Ward, Althea Ablan, and Elijah Alejo.
When the second lock-in taping of the show ended in November 2020, Katrina traveled to her hometown in El Nido, Palawan, where she spent the holiday season.
In El Nido, she got reunited with her daughter Katie Lawrence, who was staying at her mother's house on the island.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Katrina said that it has been a long time since she last welcomed the New Year at her hometown.
"New year tradition ko po, lagi akong nasa GMA New Year Countdown," she said.
"Pero kahit wala 'yung coronavirus, prinomise ko sa sarili ko na 'yung next year ko, ibibigay ko sa family ko."
