Caption din ni Kylie, "28.12.18 “Perfect accidents of nature.” I have only spent 2 days here in Batanes and I am already changed. The people here have already come so close to my heart. They've won me. I respect so much how they strive to preserve their beautiful land. I am moved and filled with so much inspiration that they take eco-tourism to heart. They love the land that they inherit. They have such respect for the very land that gives them food and water and air. Pretty much everything that they need. They do not exploit it. They are content with such a simple life. Probably because this place gives such captivating beauty in return. Their smiles are free and honest and frequent. After hearing the stories of the past, I've come to realise that something must be willing to change to grow. Batanes has become even more beautiful because of all the other influences that has impacted on it. But it is the heart of it's people and it's resilience, their values and their beliefs and conviction that makes it the beautiful place that it is. A place can be beautiful, but it is the heart of the place that captures other hearts. Happiness is simplicity."
