Glaiza has just returned to the Philippines from her vacation in Ireland where she spent the holidays with David's family.
The Kapuso actress is back in the country in time to start taping for her upcoming series titled Nagbabagang Luha, a Kapuso adaptation of the classic '80s movie in which she will star alongside Rayver Cruz.
But before resuming her showbiz duties, Glaiza sat down with members of the media for a virtual press conference where celebrity couple Chynna Ortaleza and Kean Cipriano introduced her as one of the newest talents of OC Records.
It was during this interview when Glaiza, who was still in cloud nine, recalled David's proposal.
According to the actress, it was her third day in Ireland when her now fiancé decided to pop the big question.
Bakit parang ano, may weird akong nararamdaman.'
"Pero tina-try kong i-brush off. Alam mo 'yung few minutes bago mangyari 'yun, talagang may kutob ako na 'Hala, 'wag naman. Hindi pa ako ready.' May ganun akong feeling.”
Before eating their first meal, David finally mustered the courage to ask her to be his wife.
Okay, o sige, party!' Gumanon pa ako, 'yehey, party.'
"Tapos tinanong niya na ako, sabi niya, 'Can I ask you something?'
Despite witnessing several proposals on screen and in real life, Glaiza realized that nothing prepared her for that grand moment. She also revealed how David asked for her parents' approval in the sweetest way.
The prenup
While Glaiza got the surprise of her life while vacationing in Ireland, what was reported as their prenup was something she actually planned.
She talked about one of their previous trips around the country, “Dumaan kami sa isa sa location shoots ng Game of Thrones.
So when she returned to Ireland in December, she knew she wanted to shoot a music video there for her upcoming single, “Bank Holiday.”
“Bank Holiday” is Glaiza's original which she was able to create when she studied music production in London. And now that her friends, Chynna and Kean have established their own entertainment company, the actress found the perfect time to release her song.
Needless to say, its music video will feature David as her leading man. It will be released some time in February but Glaiza has already teased her fans and followers about it via her Twitter account.
Huhu.”

Tapos ngayon tapos na siya. Huhu
And hopefully through this video, makita nila na 'Ah, okay, ganito pala doon,' and alam mo 'yun for a while, mapunta ka doon, maka-escape ka.”
