Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque confirm breakup through joint statement
Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque put an end to rumors and speculations as they finally confirmed their breakup.
The ex-couple posted a joint official statement on Instagram on Sunday, February 11.
Here's the full official statement:
“After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our
engagement. It was not an easy decision. We wanted to have more time to carefully deliberate and pray about it, but there have been many speculations, questions, and insults.
"Unfortunately, some even confirmed our break-up without our consent, and some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false, so we felt the need to share this announcement with great sadness, for our peace of mind and our families.
"Please understand that this is an extremely painful yet united decision, and we sincerely request for everyone to kindly spare us from more cruel and very hurtful words thrown on social media.
"We kindly request to give us the privacy we need as we navigate our future lives with respect, kindness, compassion, and dignity.
Thank you for your understanding and support," wrote Bea and Dom.
Last February 6, Boy Abunda, through his GMA program Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, announced Bea and Dom's separation on national TV.

Rumors linking Bea Alonzo to Dominic Roque started when the latter posted a throwback picture with actress, which was taken in 2019. What tipped off fans and netizens though was the sweet caption he posted, which says "tila ako'y nabighani..."

When Bea turned 33 in 2020, Dominic greeted her on Instagram, posting a throwback photo of their Tokyo trip.
