Melissa Gohing gets birthday greetings from Song Joong-ki, Ji Chang-wook, K-drama stars
It was a dream come true for Melissa Gohing-Nacino as she achieved something that every K-drama fan dreams about.
Recently, her husband Rocco Nacino represented the Philippines at the Busan International Film Festival for his nominated film Motherland. During the event, the Kapuso actor had the chance to meet several famous South Korean stars, including Lee Jung-Jae, Ji Chang-wook, Park Bo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, Jung Jin-young, and the original Big Boss from Descendants of the Sun, Song Joong-ki.
In a previous interview with Nelson Canlas, Rocco Nacino shared that he had a video call with Melissa and even let her talk to Park Seo-Joon and Yim Siwan.
“Nag-video call ako kay Mel, sabi ko, 'Ito ba 'yung ultimate crush mo?' tapos vinideo call ko. Umiyak on the spot,” Rocco recalled.
For any K-drama fan, just meeting their favorite actors online would be a dream come true. However, Melissa was in for another surprise weeks later.
On her birthday, Melissa Gohing was overjoyed when Rocco Nacino surprised her with a compilation of birthday greetings from famous K-drama stars. On Instagram, Rocco shared the video he presented to his wife. In selfie mode, Rocco appeared alongside the Korean artists and asked them to say their warm wishes for Melissa.
As the reel continued, it also captured Melissa's reaction while watching her special gift. She was visibly surprised, squealing with delight as her K-drama fan heart fluttered with happiness. Melissa couldn't help but kiss Rocco and exclaim, "I love you."
Rocco playfully captioned the post, "Dahil kaarawan mo ngayon Melissa Gohing-Nacino, ipapamigay kita sa mga mahal mo sa buhay." He also expressed his gratitude to Park Seo-Joon, Yim Siwan, and Song Joong-ki for making his wife's birthday so special. "Thank you Park Seo-Joon, Yim Siwan, and Song Joong-ki for your time and making 1 special fan smile (and almost fall) with your birthday greeting!"
Rocco concluded with a heartfelt greeting, "Happy Birthday my love Melissa Gohing-Nacino!" and a heart.
Followers of the couple flooded the comment section to greet Melissa on her special day. Celebrities like Rodjun Cruz, Dianne Medina, and Abigail Palmares Maraño also showed their love and support.
Melissa Gohing celebrated her birthday with Rocco and their son, Ezren Raffaello, during a family trip to Busan. The couple shared pictures and videos from their vacation, showing the all-white and blue ensembles that they wore. The Sparkle host revealed that it was a dream come true for their family to visit the iconic city of Busan.
