Kim Woo-bin welcomes the new year by helping out others

Apart from his handsome looks and impeccable acting skills, Korean actor Kim Woo-bin is also a man with a huge heart. He welcomed the new year with a generous donation to Asan Hospital in Seoul.

In a report announced by Soompi, AM Entertainment, Woo-bin's agency, shared that the Uncontrollably Fond star recently donated a whopping 100 million Korean won or ₱4,399,705.89, as of current exchange rates, to Asan Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. The donation was said to be made to support the treatment of patients from vulnerable groups.

Since his debut, Woo-bin has been advocating for helping out others and making generous donations to numerous organizations. In 2014, he anonymously made a donation to help out low-income youths.

In 2017, despite battling nasopharyngeal cancer, Woo-bin made heartwarming donations to the underprivileged and to patients with childhood cancer. After completing his cancer treatments in 2019, he also donated all the proceeds from his fan meeting to childhood patients who are also battling cancer.

In 2020, Woo-bin also donated all of his documentary narration fees to the Korea Children's Leukemia Foundation to help out childhood cancer patients. He also generously gave 100 million Korean won to help prevent the spread and infection of COVID-19 among vulnerable groups.

In 2021, Woo-bin also prepared gifts for 200 children hospitalized in the children's ward of Asan Hospital and delivered them to the kids, himself. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, the Korean actor has never missed the chance to give back and help out those who are in need.

Kim Woo-bin has starred in numerous Korean dramas such as The Heirs, School 2013, Our Blues, among others. He's also been in a relationship with Korean actress Shin Min-a since 2015.
