Alfred Vargas turns emotional on his last day as QC congressman
Former Encantadia star and newly-elected Quezon City councilor Alfred Vargas was feeling emotional as he ended his term as congressman of the fifth district, yesterday (June 30).
Alfred shared some highlights of his last State of the District of Address on Instagram and talked about some of his accomplishments.
He posted, “For my last State of the District Address, I am honored to report that we are capping off our 3 terms as Congressman with more than 1,256 House Bills & Resolutions, 87+ Laws enacted, & a sustainable program that has benefited thousands of residents in our District.”
The actor continued, “We have always relied on people's participation in practicing good governance. We have achieved a lot because we've managed to discuss our people's needs together & we were able to make decisions on the basis of our common care & concern for the general welfare of our people.
“I can sincerely say that we've done our best to serve our district & the Filipino people.”
After winning a seat in the city council, his brother, PM, is the newest representative of his district.
“I'm proud to pass the baton to another dignified public servant, Representative PM VARGAS @pmvargasph,” Alfred said.
He ended his post saying, “The 5th District of QC is in good hands. Thank you & God bless us all!”
His wife, Yasmine commented on his post telling him, “Proud of you amore.”
The Vargas couple have three other children, namely: Ching, Ary, and Baby Alfredo.
