BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim vlogs her trip to Los Angeles
BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim surprised her fans with a new vlog that debuted on February 23.
In an eight-minute video titled "LA vlog" on her official YouTube channel Jennierubyjane Official, the K-pop idol showed a few days from her vacation in Los Angeles in late 2021.
The video begins with Jennie showing the place she's staying at in LA.
"Welcome to my LA house," she greets her fans.
"So today I decided to vlog my day in LA. If you guys have been wondering what I do out here...it's gonna be a compact version of my day, but I'll try my best," Jennie explains with a smile while filming in the swimming area of the house.
Jennie points to a swimming pool behind her. "It's a nice pool, I've actually never swam in there. I don't know why I haven't tried the pool in the house."
The next scene shows Jennie in the kitchen, getting ready to make breakfast. "Good morning. It's very sunny out today. I'm going to make breakfast now," she said.
She shows a carton of oat milk and a loaf of bread and goes on to make toast.
"Everytime I have this toast...[I wonder] why is it so sweet?" Jennie asks.
She looks at the bread's packaging and reads, "It's Hawaiian Sweet Bread. My friend got me addicted to this," Jennie confesses.
Jennie ruffles her hair and shares, "By the way, this is how my hair looks when I get up so...excuse the hair."
She also pointed out a bruise on her upper right arm.
"I need to explain about this...when we came to LA, it was Halloween week. My friends and I went to a bunch of haunted houses. We realized it was a nightmare," she said.
"This bruise was made from running around haunted houses and being too scared. I got pushed into the walls...I was running for my life," Jennie jokes, recalling her adventures.
"It's been here for two weeks and it's getting darker."
Jennie then starts to get dressed to go out. She shows her closet and picks out an outfit. She settles for a sleeveless white top, plaid loose pants, and beige ugg boots, a look she wore in one of her Instagram posts from November 2021.
The next scene shows Jennie taking a walk on a different day, wearing white rimmed sunglasses, a loose white top, and black shorts.
She said, "I think the thing I did the most here is walk around...Even if I walk around wearing this...nobody cares about me," she said as she continued walking around the neighborhood with a happy smile.

Jennie mentions that though she's in LA, her comfort food is still Korean food.
"Soft tofu soup. Soft tofu soup was the yummiest," Jennie added.
Another scene shows Jennie in a bookstore, choosing a book to buy.
She points to Talking to Stranger: What We Should Know About the People We Don't Know by Malcolm Gladwell and says she's read that book. She then picks up another book titled Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking.
"Well, that's me, I'm an introvert," she said.
Jennie heads back home and gets her hair braided and changes into a different outfit for her trip to Disneyland with fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé.

Fans were quick to flock to the comments section, feeling happy for Jennie who got to enjoy some time off from work while on vacation.
