Sofia Pablo reveals Allen Ansay was her 'acting coach' for 'Everybody Hurts' music video
Sofia Pablo shared how Allen Ansay helped her get in touch with her “serious side” for their acting stint in Julie Anne San Jose and Christian Bautista's “Everybody Hurts” music video.
The Prima Donnas star recounted their surprise upon being entrusted with this project since the song's message required them to embody more maturity than their usual, real-life selves.
“With the 'Everybody Hurts' music video, super different nito sa mga ginagawa namin, like nakikita naman ng mga tao sa YouTube namin na ang ginagawa namin ay puro pranks. Mahilig kami na mang-trip. And parang never pa kami nakikita na too much on the serious side kasi nga parehas po kaming makulit. So noong nalaman po namin na kami 'yong [stars ng] “Everybody Hurts” music video, medyo nabigla kami," she said.
Sofia also expressed her appreciation for her love team partner, noting his crucial role in getting her to channel the serious persona needed for the music video.
“Pagdating po namin doon, sabi ni Allen sa'kin: 'Ano maganda nating gawin?' And then ako, natatawa kasi ako kapag kailangan kong maging [serious] tapos hindi naman ako ganoon sa totoong buhay.
"So tinulungan niya ako, para siyang naging acting coach ko. And then sinasabi niya, 'Huwag ka nang matawa para mas maganda 'yong magawa natin. Kasi kapag inisip mong natatawa ka, hindi na natin 'to magagawa.' So happy po ako na siya 'yong nabigay na love team sa akin kasi masaya siyang kasama off-cam at professional din siyang katrabaho on-cam."
