Antoinette Taus looks back at the many characters she played through the years
Actress-environmentalist Antoinette Taus took time to look back at the many roles she portrayed throughout her fruitful career in and out of showbiz.
In an Instagram post, Antoinette uploaded a video of her showing the roles she's played. Back in the '90s, she was among the most sought-after teen stars who appeared in a number of youth-oriented movies and series.
Do you remember Anna from the series Anna Karenina? How about Bianca in the youth-oriented weekly habit T.G.I.S? Does the man-hating student council president Jenny from the movie Honey, My Love, So Sweet still ring a bell or the nerdy Clarisse who fell in love with the campus heartthrob on the teen flick Kiss Mo Ko?
All of these characters were once an ideal to Antoinette's fans who still support her to this day. Her then team-up with Kapuso primetime king Dingdong Dantes was such a hit they became among the most bankable love teams from the late '90s to the early 2000s.
Antoinette, especially in her youth, has been a highly influential figure to youngsters of her time. She has been idolized not only for her talent in singing and acting but for her captivating beauty as well. In fact, netizens praise the actress on her social media pages for having maintained her beauty and youthfulness even at age 40.
Meanwhile, her most challenging role to date would have to be championing her causes at the Communities Organized for Research Allocation or CORA, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness for environmental issues and helping underserved sectors.
Because of her excellent advocacy work, she was named the National Goodwill Ambassador for the Philippines by the United Nations Environment Programme.
