LOOK: This shipping company will send your postcard to the moon for free
After millions of people went crazy over sending their names to Mars aboard NASA's Perseverance rover that touched down on the Red Planet's surface on February 18 this year, shipping company DHL has a similar campaign that aims to send postcards to the moon.

International shipping company DHL has a campaign called “Love You to the Moon and back,” which basically is a mission to send postcards to the moon.
It's pretty similar to NASA's “Send Your Name to Mars” campaign, albeit with a more emotional touch or twist.
People can send a postcard to the moon with their names and a photo with their loved ones. Plus, they also get to pen a heartfelt message in it.
The best thing about it is that there's no shipping fee. You only need to upload a photo and compose a short message to be added to the postcard. After which, you'll be required to create a profile on their website.

After doing all that, your postcard will now be shipped 384,400 kilometers away to the moon by the Peregrine Lander, to stay there forever, or until the next generation of humans discovers them hundreds or thousands of years from now.
The mission is dubbed as DHL's first delivery to the moon and is scheduled to take flight in July this year.
If you want to take things up a notch and send keepsakes to the moon, such as a family photo, an heirloom ring, or a cufflink or pin, you can do so through DHL and Astrobotic's mission to the moon called MoonBox.
But be prepared to shell out $460 to $25,800, depending on the size of your desired capsule.
In Philippine peso, that's around Php 22,376 to Php 1.3 milliion! It's definitely not cheap to fly to the moon, huh?
So, if you can't afford to send keepsakes to the moon yet, better make the most out of their free shipping offering of postcards to the moon.
