Miss Nicaragua brushed off the haters by explaining the purpose of the fashion show, “[It] was to demonstrate [the] dresses that were used long ago in the Philippines. It was all a spectacular work they put together today. The designers [created the] dresses for us to wear.”

Miss Sierra Leone feels empowered in her fiery red dress, “Red is the color of love and royalty and my designer made me feel both. What made this Filipiniana gown special is that it made use of Abel Iloko, a hand woven fabric made exclusively here in Ilocos. Filipinos are truly world class!”

Miss Singapore thanked the incredible designer Jearson Demavivas for her beautiful dress as well as for imparting the Philippine culture with her people back home.
