The Playlist
GMA Network strengthens its digital presence and further fosters the talents of its artists via its online concert series 'Playlist.' It was relaunched in July 2016 and has since featured the likes of Gabbi Garcia, Kylie Padilla, Glaiza de Castro, Sanya Lopez, Julie Anne San Jose, Kitchie Nadal, Aicelle Santos, Ken Chan, and Top One Project.
Aicelle Santos
Traffic Diva Aicelle Santos opened 2016 with a treat to her supporters and music lovers. She released her EP titled 'Liwanag' in January.
Alden Richards
Ang 2016 ay masasabing isa sa pinakamatagumpay na taon para kay Alden Richards para sa kanyang music career. Siya ang ika-apat na ginawaran ng Diamond Record award para sa kanyang album na 'Wish I May.' Kasunod naman nito ay ni-launch na rin ng Pambansang Bae ang kanyang ikalawang album under GMA Records. Kabi-kabila rin ang mga natanggap niyang parangal. Kabilang na rito ang apat na pagkilala mula sa PMPC Star Awards for Music and TV, at tatlong awards mula sa 29th Awit Awards.
Lovi Poe and Solenn Heussaff
Every man's fantasy came true to life when Lovi Poe and Solenn Heussaff shared the stage for the first time for their concert called Fantasie in February 2016.
Oh Boy!
Hindi naman din nagpahuli ang mga nagagwapuhang lalaki mula asa Artist Center. Rocco Nacino, Aljur Abrenica, Jake Vargas, and Derrick Monasterio headlined their first concert titled Oh Boy!
Jennylyn Mercado
The year 2016 saw the return of Jennlyn Mercado to the recording studio. She released her album 'Ultimate' and it immediately topped the iTunes charts.
Julie Anne San Jose
Naging maganda rin ang taong 2016 para kay Julie Anne San Jose. Sa taong ito ni-release ni Julie ang kanyang ikatlong album under GMA Records, ang 'Chasing the Light.' Ika-sampung anniversary rin ng Asia's Pop Sweetheart sa industriya, at ipinagdiwang niya ito sa pamamagitan ng isang concert, ang In Control. Nagkaroon din si Julie ng isa pang major concert kasama si Christian Bautista.
Top One Project
Top One Project celebrated their first year in the industry via a grand concert. It was also timely that they were recognized as PMPC Star Awards's Group of the Year.
Derrick Monasterio
Derrick Monasterio had a successful music debut as he released his first album under GMA Records in April 2016. The year was made even sweeter when he won as PMPC Star Awards's New Male Recording Artist.
Rachelle Ann Go
Rachelle Ann Go showcased world-class Pinoy talent as she bagged the West End Frame's Best Performance of a Song award.
P.A.R.D.
Sinalubong naman ng boy group mula 'Bubble Gang' ang taong 2016 nang may kakaiba at medyo pilyong musika. Naging maingay ang P.A.R.D. na kinabibilangang nina Paolo Contis, Antonio Aquitania, Boy 2 Quizon, Roadfill, at RJ Padilla.
