Heart Evangelista together with PAWSsion Project helped Kuya Jun have a place he can call home for him and his dogs.

A few weeks ago, Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista met a homeless man named Kuya Jun in Gilmore taking care of stray dogs while on her way home the day her dog Casper was found.

Because Heart was so moved with Kuya Jun's simple acts of kindness and with a little help from PAWSsion Project, he has finally found a place he can call “home.”

According to the non-profit group, the two things Kuya Jun wished for this holiday season were clothes for church and a place to come home to for him and his dogs.

“He had the simplest wishes, just a place where he can be with his dogs, and clothes he can use to go to church,” they wrote via Instagram.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope. 🖤 Today was totally a happy, emotional, heartwarming and life changing day as we officially welcomed Kuya Jun and his dogs to the shelter. HOMELESS NO MORE! ❤️😭 He had the simplest wishes, just a place where he can be with his dogs, and clothes he can use to go to church. We were all in tears when he cried for joy seeing his home and everyone else at the shelter giving him the warmest welcome. He said, everyday, he prays for a home for him and his dogs and we thank God for using all of us as His instruments. Thank you @iamhearte for helping us give him a home. It was all because of you that we now have this amazing new member of our family. God really is amazing to have used all of us in making this happen. Thank you @kitbarraquias for the ultimate pangkabuhayqn showcase for tatay!!! Thank you to our dearest volunteers for all the help since day 1 and everyone else who helped one way or another!! We all did it! So so happy for Kuya Jun and his dogs and for everyone. It is an experience we'll forever treasure. Indeed, God makes all things beautiful in His time 🖤 WELCOME TO THE FAMILY KUYA JUN!

On her own Instagram, Heart shared the heartfelt moment once more and said that fate must have something in store for both of them the day Casper went missing.

“Kuya Jun, kung ano man ang pinagdaanan mo at kung ano man ang nakaraan mo, it doesn't matter. It's time to forget that because you now have a new life.

“You are now safe in your new home where you are loved with your fur babies. You are a hero.

“I guess the reason why Casper went missing that day was because there was a greater purpose--it was so that I could keep looking in the streets so that I could find you.”

Not really one to post about these things (although I already posted on my stories), but I just felt that maybe it wasn't enough because I want the world to know about you and your big heart. ❤ Kuya Jun, kung ano man ang pinagdaanan mo at kung ano man ang nakaraan mo, it doesn't matter. It's time to forget that because you now have a new life. You are now safe in your new home where you are loved with your fur babies. You are a hero. ❤ I guess the reason why Casper went missing that day was because there was a greater purpose--it was so that I could keep looking in the streets, so that I could find you. Thank you so much to @pawssionproject for giving Kuya Jun a new life. 🙏🏻 P.s. Hoping that everyone stays safe during the coming days. 🙏🏻
