Cindy, 39, attested that she made the right decision to leave her colorful showbiz career behind because of her health issues.

She was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition that affects woman's hormone levels that makes it harder for a woman to get pregnant.

"At the end of my ten years in show business, I had a hormonal imbalance which led me to have PCOS and five doctors told me that I will never have children.

“I wasn't fertile because of the stressful environment that I was in," Cindy shared in her one-on-one interview with GMANetwork.com during her short visit in the country recently.

However, contrary to what her doctors said, Cindy still managed to have two beautiful daughters.

The former TV host was determined to have kid, so she said, "I change my lifestyle around and I try to live healthier."

Her eldest is Noa, now 9, while her youngest is Lima, 2.

This is serious business 😆

The way Cindy sees this problem reminds us to see the good in every situation.

She said, "Many people will look at it as a problem, as a downfall.

“But for me, the problem made my attention go in the direction that help me for the rest of my life.

"All of that came from that moment when I realized I wasn't healthy, I was overworking, and something negative turned into something positive and I think that was life is all about, right?"

How did her children affect her lifestyle?

Cindy answered, "Becoming a mother has changed my priorities totally.

“Instead of saving money, I shifted to accumulating beautiful memories, things I can look back on with my children.

“It's about creating a perfect moment, enjoying here and now, being present in the moment, and making the experience for everybody enjoyable so that everyone goes away from that moment feeling refreshed.

“That is something I like to achieve on a daily basis and that's what my kids taught me.”

She also stressed, "Every woman doesn't need to be a mother, not everyone has that wish. You don't have to feel pressured into being a mother but if you want to be one, it will fulfill you."

Cindy is best remembered as Cassiopeia in the Kapuso fantaseries Encantadia and as a host for the longest running noontime show Eat Bulaga!

She left showbiz in 2007.
