Marian Rivera on discovering self-love: “Dapat wala tayong hinihintay na okasyon. Kailangan every day special tayo.”
Marian Rivera introduces a new collaboration with the aim to empower women.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen revealed that every day should always be a celebration of womanhood.
At the launch of the new jewelry line that she designed with Avon Fashions held earlier, February 7, Marian divulged why she created a project that will personify empowerment.
She said, “Kailangang i-empower natin tayong mga babae. Dapat pare-parehas tayong nagtutulungan.
“Minsan may mga kaibigan tayo na, 'Uy, pahinga ka muna, o try mo 'yun. 'Di ba, minsan kailangan natin ng ganon? Kailangan i-lift natin together.”
During a chat with her guests, Marian acknowledged that there were times when she provided more love for her family than for herself.
This made her examine what's lacking in her life and, eventually, discovered the significance of self-love.
“Minsan kasi 'pag nanay ka na, gusto mo sa kanila na lang. Focus ka na lang sa asawa mo, sa anak mo.
“Siguro kung malakas ang personality mo parang ako, sasabihin mo sa sarili mo, 'Sandali bakit parang kulang?'
“Dapat talaga manggaling sa sarili mo na 'mahal na mahal ko sarili ko,' bago ko mahalin ang asawa at anak ko,” she related.
As a way to uplift women, Marian left a substantial advice for self-love.
She said, “Dapat wala tayong hinihintay na okasyon. Kailangan every day special tayo; every day binibigyan tayong halaga.”
