The Kapuso reporter headlines Philippine Star's Supreme.

Atom Araullo is no stranger to gracing covers of magazines.

He is, however, a newbie in creating a full-length documentary and starring in a feature film.

These are the new pursuits he talks about as this week's cover of Philippine Star Supreme.

After leaving his former network, he joined GMA and was was given the opportunity to do something that he has been wanting for a long time—a documentary.

"Nasanay ako sa 10 years ng field work, and it’s a run-and-gun kind of journalism, which is very important. But I wanted to explore another potential output in telling stories, I felt like I wanted to do something different and expand my repertoire," he tells Supreme.

His documentary, The Philippine Seas, will air on November 5, 3:30 pm on GMA.

Aside from this, he is also playing the lead role in Mike de Leon's new film, 'Citizen Jake.'

"It really opened my eyes to a whole different way in which we can tell stories. Minsan, mas effective pa magkwento sa tao gamit yung kwentong fiction rather than tell people what’s actually going on at the moment," he adds.
