Pernilla Sjoö attends christening of Derek Ramsay's daughter Liana
It has been two weeks since Filipino actor Derek Ramsay took to the internet to defend his friend, Pernilla Sjoö, from a wave of online hate after her name got dragged into the personal issue surrounding couple Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo.
According to Derek, Pernilla became deeply distressed and avoided the public by locking herself in the room and deactivating her social media accounts. Standing by his friend, the actor revealed that she was in tears daily and that she was scared of the overwhelming negativity from netizens.
But as time passed, Pernilla gradually began to heal and found the strength to come out of hiding.
Recently, Pernilla was spotted at the intimate christening of Derek and Ellen Adarna's daughter, Baby Liana.
The Swedish photographer looked radiant in event photos, flashing a bright smile alongside high-profile guests like Dra. Vicky Belo and Atty. Lorna Kapunan. Netizens were quick to express relief, happy to see her moving forward and enjoying the company of friends once again.
Beyond the christening, Pernilla has also been seen staying active and spending time with friends. Together with trail runner Yardy Malinao, she recently enjoyed the scenery of Alabang while doing a fun jog.

Earlier this month, Pernilla found herself at the center of controversy after netizens linked her to Andi Eigenmann's cryptic post about a “wolf in sheep's clothing.” The issue began when Andi hinted that a certain someone who got a matching tattoo with her fiancé, Philmar Alipayo, was the culprit behind their quarrel.
While Andi didn't drop names, eagle-eyed netizens quickly pieced things together when they spotted photos of Pernilla and Philmar's fresh ink.
As for the issue, Derek Ramsay set the record straight by clarifying Pernilla was unaware of the cultural implications of her actions and fully admitted her mistake. He also revealed that she attempted to reach out to Andi, but the actress has yet to respond.
"The truth is I think after the tattoo, there was a text from Andi saying 'Wah.' I think she made an attempt or she texted. Pern was busy working. Pern replied the following day, 'Hey. Let's talk.' Ayaw na [ni Andi]. She reached out again, 'I'm willing to talk.' Wala na talagang sagot,' he said. "[Andi] reached out but it wasn't a reach out na, 'Hey we need to talk' or 'Hey what the hell?' She didn't mention anything. Siargao is a small place. If you want to talk to her, then why didn't you go to her house with your husband?"
