The Paris 2024 Olympics may have concluded, but it will forerver be in the Philippines sports history.
The Philippine centennial team made history at the 2024 Olympics after gymnast Carlos Yulo won two Olympic gold medals for floor exercise and vault in men's artistic gymnastics.
Female boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas also won separate bronze medals in their respective weight categories in boxing.
Aside from these, the Paris 2024 Olympics was also special because it marked the centenary of the Philippines' participation to the prestigious Olympic Games.
Since 1924, the Philippines has been sending athletes to every Olympic games except during the Moscow 1980 Olympics when it joined the American-led boycott.
In 100 years, the Philippines tallied three gold medals, five silver medals, and 10 bronze medals.
