Meet Chae Jong-hyeop, the serious yet heartwarming 'Castaway Diva' lead actor
Chae Jong-hyeop made us all fall in love with his heartwarming and impressive performance as Kang Bo-geol in the recently concluded Korean rom-com series Castaway Diva.
Castaway Diva follows the life of a girl named Seo Mok-ha, played by Park Eun-bin, who dreams of becoming a singer. She flees his father's violence with his childhood friend Jung Ki-ho (later changed his name to Kang Bo-geol), played by Chae Jong-hyeop, and goes to Seoul for an audition. However, an unfortunate accident happened on her way, leaving her stranded on an island for 15 years.
Since this drama aired on Netflix, Chae Jong-hyeop has captured the attention of international fans. He made his acting debut with the web series Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show Season 2 in 2016, and after several web series, he starred in his first lead role in Love All Play (2022), followed by Unlock My Boss (2022) and Castaway Diva (2023).

Chae Jong-hyeop made his acting debut in 2016 in the second season of MBC every1 series Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show.
Web series
Chae Jong-hyeop appeared in the web dramas Between Friends, No Bad Days, Rumor, and The Witch's Diner. He also joined the cast of Come and Hug Me, Hot Stove League and Sisyphus: The Myth.
First lead role
Chae Jong-hyeop landed his first lead role in the sports drama series Love All Play in 2022, where he played Park Tae-joon.
Unlock My Boss and Nevertheless
Following Love All Play, Chae Jong-hyeop starred in the Korean dramas Unlock My Boss (2022) and Nevertheless (2021).

Chae Jong-hyeop studied Fashion Model Art in Seoul Arts College and started his modelling career in 2014. He appeared in several magazines such as Harper's Bazaar Korea, Indeed, Cosmopolitan Korea Magazine, and 1st Look Magazine.
