Meet Sparkle beauty queen Bea Luigi Gomez
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City finished in the Top 5 of the 70th Miss Universe pageant held in Eilat, Israel on December 13, 2021.
She was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 in September and represented the country in the prestigious pageant.
The Pinay beauty made it to the Top 5 of the international pageant alongside the candidates from India, Paraguay, Colombia, and South Africa. It was Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the winner.
Beatrice brought honor and pride to the country as she extends the Philippines' longest semi-final placement streak in the Miss Universe competition.
Fast-forward to 2024, Beatrice Luigi Gomez is now called Bea Luigi Gomez and is now part of Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
She will join an elite roster of former beauty queens whose showbiz careers are being managed by the country's premier talent management, like Rabiya Mateo, Thia Thomalla, Maxine Medina, and many more.

Crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2021, Beatrice Gomez represented the country in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant wherein she finished in the Top 5 of this year's competition.

Beatrice has only participated in two beauty pageants before winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 title. In 2015, she placed second runner-up in the Miss Mandaue pageant, and in January 2020, she was crowned Binibining Cebu.
Pride of Cebu City
Beatrice is a homegrown beauty of Cebu City. She was crowned as Binibining Cebu 2020 representing San Fernando.

Navy Marine Reservist

Miss Universe Philippines organization decided to retain the "Bakunawa" theme for her national costume. According to MUPH, "In Philippine mythology, the Bakunawa is a serpent-like dragon that's believed to cause eclipses. It is said to swallow the moon. It's also part of the shamanistic rituals of the babaylans or Filipino shamans. She continues this narrative by taking the Bakunawa in its final form: The Golden Lunar Dragon. This is a metaphor for Bea's growth and personal evolution."
Golden gown
Bea looks like a Filipina goddess during the evening gown competition wearing a Pintados-inspired golden gown created by the renowned Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran.
Military background
Bea is a sergeant in the Philippine Navy Reserve Unit and was honored with the Military Merit Medal in May 2022.

In January 2024, she was one the guests in 'Dapat Alam Mo' with her fellow Sparkle artists, Larkin Castor, Brent Valdez, and Aidan Veneracion.
