IN PHOTOS: Kelley Day's journey to the Miss Eco International 2021 crown
Nearly two years after winning her title, Kapuso actress and beauty queen Kelley Day is currently in Egypt to compete in the Miss Eco International pageant and take home the most coveted crown.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the Miss Eco International pageant was postponed many times. It was only early this year that the coronation night was finalized and was said to take place on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Despite the hiatus, Kelley didn't come unprepared for the competition as she continually trained hard to wow the judges before the coronation night.
From gown fittings to finalizing her walk, the Kapuso actress did everything in power to be in tip-top shape and present what the best of the best the Philippines can offer.
In an interview for '24 Oras,' she said, “The outfits are to be finalized with the fittings and everything but other than that, okay na. I have a lot of suitcases that I can use kasi parang worry ko with the gowns and everything, sometimes it's hard to pack.
“The places that we're going to are limited. We'll be going to two different resorts within the two and a half weeks, and we're pretty much in a bubble. Parang isolated din kami kasi it's a big resort, so we won't be in the areas na maraming tao. We should be quite safe.”
