IN PHOTOS: Celebrities you didn't know had breast enhancement
As its name suggests, breast augmentation surgery is a kind of cosmetic procedure meant to enlarge the breasts. The procedure is done by surgically placing an implant behind the breast tissue to achieve the patient's desired chest size. Breast implants are sacs usually filled with sterile salt water (saline) or medical-grade silicone.
Thanks to the medical advances of today, breast augmentations are now the safest, most natural-looking, and most customizable it has ever been. While many are happy with the results of their surgery, some women have also reported experiencing Breast Implant Illness or BII which is a wide range of symptoms that can develop after undergoing the aforementioned procedure.
Women who suffer from BII then choose to have their implants removed to alleviate these symptoms such as joint pain, muscle pain, chest pain, breathing problems, and sleeping problems among many others.
For reasons of their own, these 7 celebrities have undergone this procedure to boost their confidence and feel better about themselves. While some of them opted to have their implants removed, others remain happy about their decision to have their chests enhanced.
