IN PHOTOS: Here's why up-and-coming Kapuso star Hailey Mendes is worthy of your attention
Up-and-coming Kapuso star Hailey Mendes started making waves in the music scene after she was introduced as one of the members of the all-female group Bliss 88.
She also appeared in the music video for OPM hitmaker Matthaios's "Binibini" featuring Calvin De Leon.
The music video, which parodies the 2013 film 'Must Be... Love,' featured Hailey and her fellow Sparkle GMA Artist Center talent Jamir Zabarte.
Hailey and Jamir appeared in "Binibini" as a couple with one too many differences.
Prior to her music career, the newbie Kapuso made her major acting debut in 'Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation)' where she played the role of Judith Manalo, the younger sister of Captain Lucas Manalo, portrayed by Dingdong Dantes.
"Ito po kasi 'yung first project ko sa GMA, so parang 'di ko po ine-expect na ganito kalaki 'yung mga katrabaho ko," Hailey shared in a previous interview with GMANetwork.com.
She became part of the highly successful drama series, 'First Yaya,' and played minor roles in various GMA shows. She also starred in the GMA Telebabad rom-com series 'What We Could Be.'
Aside from this, Hailey stared as Carrie Serrano in GMA Afternoon Prime series 'Underage.'

In a previous interview with GMANetwork.com, Hailey mentioned that she is home-schooled.
GMA Artist Center
Hailey became a GMA Artist Center talent after taking a VTR audition in the network's talent management arm.
TV appearances
Prior to 'Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation),' the Filipina-German beauty has portrayed minor roles in GMA shows such as 'Love You Two,' 'TODA One I Love,' and 'Dear Uge.'
Judith Manalo
Hailey's role in 'Descendants of the Sun PH' was an additional character in the local version of the South Korean drama of the same title. According to her, the character of Judith made the series more Filipino by promoting family values.
Look alike
Hailey bears an uncanny resemblance to actress Liza Soberano. While some of her fans would say that the Kapuso star can be mistaken for Nancy of South Korean girl group Momoland.
Bliss 88
Because of her K-pop looks, Hailey is fitting to be a part of the all-female sing and dance group called Bliss 88.

Hailey captioned this photo, "Confidence is not 'They will like me.' Confidence is 'I'll be fine if they don't," and we couldn't agree more.
What We Could Be
Hailey is part of GMA and Quantum Films' first TV series titled 'What We Could Be.' In the primetime series, she will breathe life to Vera, a spoiled clueless child of a syndicate leader who possesses questionable morals. In truth, this is a façade of the great shame she feels towards her father's reputation. She longs to escape from his shadow and she is waiting for the day to finally be able to define herself according to what she wants to be.
Underage
Here is Hailey with her fellow actresses Elijah Alejo and Lexi Gonzales. They will star in the upcoming GMA afternoon drama 'Underage' where they will play the Serrano sisters.
