A lot of people who work and live in the city crave for peace and quiet in the countryside. That's why many try to go on a quick weekend getaway to nearby provinces and stay in a not-so-crowded resort or vacation house, or for the fortunate ones, in their very own farmhouse.
It's no secret that ever since the pandemic began and people were forced to stay at home, many have developed a new love for farming. Thus, nowadays, having a farmhouse is the new #goals.
For singer-actress and TV host Zsa Zsa Padilla and her partner Architect Conrad Onglao, the goal of having a farmhouse began even before the pandemic struck. They started to build their dream farmhouse back in 2018.
Three years later, they have completed its construction and Casa Esperanza is now ready to receive guests who are looking for a quiet respite just a few hours away from the city.

Passion Project
Casa Esperanza is the passion project of celebrity Zsa Zsa Padilla and Architect Conrad Onglao. The two-hectare property is located at Barangay Piis, Lucban, Quezon.

'Casa Esperanza' is named after Zsa Zsa, whose real name is Esperanza.
Entrance
The Casa Esperanza entrance gives a hint of how serene and picturesque the ambiance is in the whole property.
Walkway
Zsa Zsa chose to use grabita or small gravel for the walkway leading up to the pavilion for a more country feel.
Modern rustic farmhouse
Architect Onglao revealed in Zsa Zsa's vlog that they used recycled yakal wood. The modern touches are showcased in the glass walls and roofing.
Asian design
They also used a lot of Asian decorating appointments, accessories, and artifacts that they've collected over the years.
Receiving area
The center of the pavilion is their receiving area, which leads out to their swimming pool.
Swimming pool
Their 5x25-meter swimming pool uses saltwater and has a brick oven and fireplace near it.
Dining area
The couple eventually decided to convert the greenhouse into a dining area. They replaced the cement table with an eight-seater dining table made from repurposed wood and added a beautiful chandelier.

Walk-in closet
It also has a walk-in closet inside.

Fireplace
A fireplace is conveniently located on one end of the pool, just in case you want to stay warm when the weather gets cold.
Meditation area
Casa Esperanza also has a meditation area near the lily pond where people can do yoga, meditate, or have massages.
Greenhouse
Zsa Zsa and Conrad had a greenhouse built, which ismeant to be the home of her future orchids collection.
Events venue
The greenhouse can now double as a venue for intimate get-togethers or events. They replaced the cement table with an eight-seater dining table made from repurposed wood and added a beautiful chandelier.
