Household Items
Here's a detailed list of all the essential household items you will need in your home amid the coronavirus crisis.
Proper Care
Check suspected patient's body temperature twice a day. The normal temperature is at 36.5°C to 37.5°C.
Then, observe if he or she is developing symptoms such as high fever and difficulty in breathing.
If the patient is showing the said symptoms, immediately call your Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) or the COVID hotline (02-894-26843).
Isolate the Patient Phot
First, isolate the suspected patient in a separate and well-ventilated room.
Second, always wear a facemask and practice proper handwashing before and after your interaction with the patient.
Third, separate the personal belonging of the patient.
Other Reminders
Fourth, the suspected patient should eat inside his or her room.
Fifth, secure a separate comfort room for the patient. If other family members will need to use the comfort room, maintain the high-touch surfaces such as the door and toilet bowl well-sanitized.
Mental Health

High Risk Family Members
The patient must refrain from socializing with the elderly, pregnant women, or other family members with a low immune system. Make sure that they are always accompanied while at the same time, practicing physical distancing. And, do not let the patient stay in crowded areas of the home such as the living room or kitchen.
Prevent Infection
If the patient's saliva or phlegm lands on your skin that has no wounds: wipe it with a tissue and properly wash it with soap and water or rub it with 75% alcohol.
If it lands on your wound, eyes, or mouth: wash it off immediately with clean running water. This also means that you should be isolated from other family members and observed if you will acquire the coronavirus symptoms.
When to stop isolating the patient?
If all household members are in good condition and show no symptoms after 14 days.
If one family member acquires the symptoms during the end of the 14-day isolation period, they must stay home for another 7 days.
The cough could last more than a week for some people. Inform your BHW/BHERTs if the cough persists after the home quarantine.
