TRIVIA: '90s child star-turned-mom Maybelyn dela Cruz
Maybelyn dela Cruz became a household name in the '90s, because of her role in the Dolphy-starrer sitcom 'Home Along Da Riles,' where she played the daughter of Nova Villa.
After her stint in show business, Maybelyn joined politics and served as city councilor of Dagupan City from 2010 until 2019.
Aside from her career, Maybelyn is a doting mother to her baby Mia Olivia with politician husband Michael Fernandez.
In December 2020, she found herself in the biggest fight of her life after testing positive for COVID-19. This happened after she joined the relief operations in the Cagayan region to aid the victims of the recent typhoon.

Maybelyn soon followed in the footsteps of her husband by running for a seat in the city council of Dagupan City. In fact, she garnered the highest number of votes in the 2013 elections after getting re-elected. She is now on her third term as city councilor. In her recent Instagram post, Maybelyn got the chance to meet Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe during the Asian Councils Forum in Tokyo, Japan.
Miracle baby
After several years of waiting, she and her husband Michael was blessed with a baby. Through the help of an in-vitro fertilization procedure at the Lee Women's Hospital (LWH) in Taichung, Taiwan, she got pregnant in 2016.

On Instagram, the celebrity mom expressed her profound gratitude for the immense support she has received. “We thank you for your well wishes, support and prayers.
