ASTRO, SEVENTEEN, other K-pop stars to release tribute song for Moonbin
It has been nearly two years since the K-pop industry mourned the sudden passing of ASTRO's late member Moonbin. His loss deeply saddened fans worldwide, along with his closest friends and family.
As his second death anniversary approaches, several K-pop artists have come together to collaborate on a special tribute in his honor.
According to Soompi, JTBC reports that Moonbin's closest friends have worked on a tribute song set for release on April 19.
Leading the heartfelt project are ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, with Cha Eun Woo personally reaching out to friends to bring this tribute to life.
Joining them is Moonbin's younger sister, Billlie's Moon Sua, along with SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu. Members of MONSTA X , I.M, Kihyun and Minhyuk, as well as artists VIVIZ, SF9's Chani, Stray Kids' Bang Chan, Ungjae, Choi Yoo-jung, and Kim Do-yeon, have also been revealed as participants in this emotional project.
ASTRO's agency, Fantagio, confirmed the tribute, "Moonbin's friends will be coming together to release a new song in April.”
They continued, “This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon.”
The agency concluded with a message for fans, “We hope that this song will serve as both comfort and a heartfelt gift to the fans who continue to remember and love Moonbin.”

Many were heartbroken when Fantagio announced the sudden passing of Moonbin in April 2023.
Local media, citing police reports, stated that the late K-pop star was found unresponsive in his apartment in Seoul's upscale Gangnam district. Authorities later ruled the incident as suicide.
Since then, countless fans and South Korean celebrities have expressed their grief, paying tribute to Moonbin's memory in various heartfelt ways.
