Julia Barretto is proud of how Gerald Anderson helped people during Typhoon Carina
In an interview during a contract signing event in Quezon City on August 5, Filipina actress Julia Barretto shared her thoughts about the bravery that her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, showed during Typhoon Carina.
As expected, Julia was proud of how Gerald helped the people affected by the typhoon, but she was also open about her worries for her boyfriend's safety.
“As much as it was a proud moment, of course, I was really, really worried [about Gerald],” Julia said.
She also said in a separate statement, “Ang hirap kasi grabe 'yung worries ko rin noon; grabe 'yung kaba ko noon.”
Despite her worries, Julia still took pride in Gerald's dedication to helping the people, especially during trying times like Typhoon Carina.

She said, “By nature, that's who he is as a person. Ever since. You know? I was worried, of course; I just really hoped that he would be safe while doing that for others.”
The heavy rainfalls brought by Typhoon Carina destroyed properties and floods that affected thousands of Filipinos, and Gerald Anderson was one of the many celebrities who lent help to people wholeheartedly.
In a few videos posted by netizens online, they captured Gerald Anderson rescuing people who were stranded in floods.
Not only did he visit people during the typhoon; he even swam through the overwhelming depths of floods to save his fellow Filipinos, which netizens applauded and commended.
