Klea Pineda joins 'Maharani' transformation trend, attends Pride March
Kapuso star Klea Pineda once again captivated fans by participating in the latest "Maharani" transformation trend on Instagram.
Makeup artist Jason Delos Reyes posted Klea's stunning entry with the caption, "Klea Pineda for QC Pride March." Followers flooded the comments section, praising her striking appearance and admiring her role as an inspiration within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Klea also took to her own Instagram account to share her experience at the Pride March alongside her girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf. Donning the same look from her “Maharani” challenge, Klea enjoyed connecting with fellow attendees despite the event being partially canceled due to heavy rain. The queer icon bonded with fans and shared sweet moments with Katrice.
Reflecting on the event, Klea described it as bittersweet in the captions. She said, "Attended my third Pride March but it was such a bittersweet experience. The organizers were looking out for everyone's safety so they had no choice but to cancel the concert due to heavy rain. "
Despite the setback, Klea expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by attendees. "But despite this, Katrice Kierulf and I were still overwhelmed by the number of people who were there to show their love and support for the community. It was really comforting to share that safe space with people who genuinely accept you for who you are. Masaya maging malaya lalo na't alam mong marami kang kakampi at iisa ang inyong ipinaglalaban - Karapatan, Kalayaan, Kasiyahan, Pagkakaisa, at Pagkakapantay-pantay."
She concluded her message with a heartfelt sentiment, "Happy Pride to those who came out, to those who can't, to those who haven't, and to those who are still figuring things out!"
Earlier this month, Klea was featured as one of the icons in a magazine's Pride Month issue, alongside other celebrities and content creators such as Jonathan “Sweet” Lapus, ESNYR, Sassa Gurl, and Mimiyuuuh.
The Abot-Kamay Pangarap star bravely came out as gay during her 24th birthday celebration last March. Since then, she has proudly shared her relationship with Katrice on social media, inspiring many with their openness and love.
