R'Bonney Gabriel to host Miss Universe Philippines coronation night
Filipino pageant fans and followers are in for a treat as 2022 Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel is set to host the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization made the announcement on its official Instagram account with a graphic featuring the beauty pageant titleholder. In the caption to the post, the organization described R'Bonney as the “homecoming queen” paying tribute to her Filipino roots by hosting the pageant's coronation night.
The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night is set to happen on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

This isn't the first time the Miss Universe Philippines organization has worked with R'Bonney. Back in January, the organization announced on its official Instagram account that R'Bonney would be coming back to the country. The announcement video featured R'Bonney in a glittering outfit as well as showing footage from her coronation. In the caption to the post, the organization stressed how important the Philippines is to R'Bonney because of her Filipino-American heritage, and how the beauty queen has always been vocal about this association.
R'Bonney has certainly never hidden her Filipino half. Back in November last year, she amused netizens by posting photos of her headed to El Salvador with the distinctly Filipino balikbayan box. Filipino personalities like fellow beauty queen Katrina Dimaranan, reporter Gretchen Fullido, designer Veejay Floresca, and Miss Universe Philippines director of communication Voltaire Tayag were quick to point out the box.
R'Bonney Gabriel was also in the country in May last year as a special guest during the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night. She attended the Miss Universe Philippines Fashion & Gala Night on her first night in the country, stunning the attendees with a Mark Bumgarner Filipiniana.
