Former child actor Jamile Matthew Canlas, also known as JM, passed
away on August 3 at the young age of 17. According to his elder brother's post, Jerom, JM was struggling with mental health. Jerom ended his post with the message, "Let us celebrate his short but wonderful life, as he would want us to."

Actress Isabel Granada passed away on November 4, 2017, in Qatar, more than a week after she was declared brain dead. She was 41 years old.

A heartthrob in the early 2000s, actor Miko Palanca died on December 9, 2019. He was only 41. Miko belonged to the famous Revilla clan on his mother's side and started his showbiz career with his brother Bernard.

Young YouTuber Emman Nimendez succumbed to acute myeloid leukemia on August 16, 2020. It was in May 2020 when he first announced that he has cancer. At the age of 26, Emman Nimendez has accumulated 2.19 million subscribers on YouTube.

The Philippine YouTube community mourns the death of popular vlogger Lloyd Cadena. Cadena is one of the top content creators in the country as his two channels, 'Lloyd Cafe Cadena' and 'Lloyd Cafe Cadena VLOGS' have combined subscribers of at least 8.82 million. According to the statement released his family, Lloyd died from heart attack while asleep in the hospital. He was 26. He was seeking treatment in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.

Rapper Lil John or John Ross Delos Santos in real life was gunned down in Imus, Cavite on October 21, 2019. He was 35. According to reports, the police authorities were looking at 'love triangle' as possible motive for the crime.

The local pageant community is mourning the death of former Miss World Philippines 2012 3rd princess April Love Jordan. She died on June 21, 2019 due to liver cancer. She was just 31 years-old. Aside from her successful stint in Miss World Philippines, April won in the 2009 International Beauty & Model Festival.

Rico Yan was one of the most bankable and beloved actors of his generation. When news of his sudden death broke out, the nation was shocked. He died in his sleep due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis while on vacation in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. His ex-girlfriend, Claudine Baretto, shared through Instagram a note Rico left her.

AJ Perez was being groomed by his home network as one of their top leading men but unfortunately, his career came to an abrupt end. While en route home after a show, the van AJ was on collided with a bus. He was declared dead on arrival and autopsy reports show that his broken ribs punctured his heart and lungs.

The household help of the Buencamino family found Julia hanging from a nylon rope inside their bathroom. A few days later, a suicide note surfaced from the teen's Tumblr account. In the note Julia admitted to identifying as transgender and nonbinary. Sadly, in various studies done by LGBT groups, the suicide rate among LGBT youth is higher than that of the general population.

One half of the popular YouTube sensation and love team "JaMich," Jam Sebastian was slowly but surely inching his way to mainstream success. Unfortunately, his road to success was halted when he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Jam's fiancé Mich Liggayu, together with his over 600,000 subscribers, was with him all the way until his death.

Ramgen Revilla, son of Ramon Revilla Sr., was murdered in their family home. He sustained 11 stab wounds and a shot to the chest from a masked assailant. At the time of the murder, he was with ex-girlfriend Janelle Manahan and younger sister Ramona Bautista. Much controversy surrounded his death leading many to suspect some of his family members of committing the crime.

Franco Hernandez was slowly gaining popularity as a member of Kapamilya boy group, Hashtags. The Hashtags member drowned due to an accident while at sea and was declared dead on arrival when he was taken to the nearest clinic.

Chef Hasset Go was a celebrity chef and entrepreneur who often appeared on shows like 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho' where he featured his cooking. Sadly, the celebrity chef passed away in October 2015 when he lost his battle with liver cancer.

The death of 'The Voice Kids Season 2' semifinalist Christian Pasno came as a shock to many. Christian, the promising performer who wowed the Philippines with his singing prowess, died in a tragic motorcycle accident on May 13, 2018. Based on several news reports, the accident occurred in Barangay Mabalanoy in San Juan, Batangas. And because he was not wearing any helmet, Christian suffered severe traumatic brain damage.

Comedian Babajie, or Alfredo Cornejo Jr. in real life, passed away on May 4, 2020 due to pnuemonia. Babajie appeared in 'Bubble Gang' and was recently featured on 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.' He was 35.

It is a sad day for the industry after a promising young talent's life was cut short. Niña Sophia “Sophie” Gabrielle Corullo was reported to have died due to severe dengue. The six year-old actress appeared in the noontime show of It's Showtime and was part of a recent episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Do you still remember the sex goddess in the '80s Stella Strada? Stella, whose real name is Suzette Bishop, died at the age of 21 on December 28, 1984. According to news collated by PEP.ph, the sexy actress committed suicide in an apartment in Jose Abad Santos Street in San Juan City.

Internationally acclaimed Filipino director Eduardo Roy, Jr. passed away on February 21, 2022 at 41 years old. In a statement of the family, Direk Eduardo died of "massive pulmonary embolism due to hospital acquired pneumonia."

Underground rapper Jomer "OG Kaybee" Galicia was shot dead in front of a shopping mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on February 21, 2022. He was only 32 years old.

Comedienne Mahal, or Noemi Tesorero in real life, died on August 31, 2021 due to COVID-19 complications. She was 46.
