Bianca Umali, grateful for making positive impact on children: 'I'm living out my purpose'
Kapuso actress Bianca Umali had an unforgettable moment leading a community visit for the kids of World Vision Philippines in Barangay Molinet, Laurel, Batangas.
During the visit, Bianca bonded with the children through reading, planting, and playing together.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, she also shared how grateful she was to be part of the activities, giving her a chance to make a positive difference with the children.
"Every chance I get to spend time with kids all across our country, and even around the world if possible, fills my heart with joy. These missions truly make me feel like I'm living out my purpose," Bianca said.
The Sang'gre star also mentioned how proud she felt for the community after discovering the barangay's procedures in providing children's basic needs. Bianca emphasized the importance of promoting organic farming, establishing daycare or learning centers, and cultivating self-harvested crops to ensure the children's health and strength.
Reflecting on her experience in Batangas, Bianca realized, "Posible pala ang pagkakaisa. Posible pala ang pagtutulungan. Posible pala ang walang nagugutom na bata."
Thinking about the children all around the Philippines, Bianca also left an empowering message for everyone.
"When kids are hungry, they struggle to learn. When kids don't learn, they struggle in life. End child hunger now. Act more, give more, pray more, until there is enough," she said.
The Kapuso star joined World Vision Philippines as Youth Ambassador for Education last 2017.
Other than her community services and visits, the Kapuso star is also gearing up to inspire everyone in GMA's upcoming fantasy series, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre as Terra.
