Does Lovi Poe believe in second chances?

Lovi Poe is one of the most sought-after actresses on film and television.

Now, she will take on yet another challenging role in the GMA Telebabad series, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.

In the series, Lovi portrays Shiela, a free-spirited soul who falls hard for Anthony (played by Dingdong Dantes), only to find out that Anthony has another wife, Millet (played by Maricel Soriano).

What are Lovi’s views on love? How would she handle infidelity? GMANetwork.com got one-on-one with the award-winning actress to find out.

If Lovi were in Shiela’s shoes, would she still fight for Anthony even if she is not his only wife?

She answered, “I cannot say I would fight for it. I think it’s too much for me to accept. Siguro kaya importante dapat sa bawat babae na magkaroon sila ng sarili nilang mundo at nakakatayo sila sa sarili nilang mga paa para eventually, if something happens, kaya mong umalis.”

If her partner cheats on her, would she be willing to forgive him and trust him again?

“I believe in second chances, but I also believe that it can happen again. You have to take that risk kasi alam mong nagawa na niya at puwede niyang gawin ulit. Choice mo naman iyon if you’re gonna go through that situation again,” replied Lovi.

Would she rather be married to someone who loves her or be with her true love even if they’re not married?

Lovi answered, “Kasal sa papel, of course kasi sa harap ng Diyos, sinabi mo na iyong vows mo. Sometimes, it’s sad to say but some people won’t end up with their true love. You will end up with someone you love, of course, but emotional infidelity sometimes happens and you can’t do anything about it. I mean, sometimes, people choose Plan B, right?”

What advice could she give women who have unfaithful husbands?

“Some people think they own something. We shouldn’t look at marriage as ownership. I think some people look at it that way. It’s sad because in this society, in this world, why could men do it and women can’t? I’m not saying that if he does something, you should do something in revenge.
Show it to him that you can move on kasi kaya mo naman,” answered the stunning actress.

Loving two people at the same time with the same intensity, is it really possible?

“It is possible. I believe so,” Lovi said with conviction.

What lessons in love could people learn from Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real?

Lovi said, “Marami silang matututuhan. It’s so cliché to say na huwag ibigay lahat, pero talagang kailangan mong magtira para sa sarili mo. That moment na ibinigay mo lahat, ikaw lang ang masasaktan. You have to know your limitations.”
