Death
The showbiz world is saddened over the news that comedian Chokoleit died after his performance at the Kawayan festival in the province of Abra last Saturday night, March 9. According to reports, he succumbed to pulmonary edema and heart attack. He was 46.
Marina
Chokoleit rose to popularity via the Kapamilya soap 'Marina' in 2004; wherein he played the role of Pearly Shells. The lead actress of theshow, Claudine Barretto, paid tribute to the comedian via her Instagram post. She said, "I cannot put into words the pain that n feeling Choko! Aiai Delas Alas
The Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas was among those who paid tribute to Chokoleit. The two worked together in the movie 'Volta.' Aiai recounted her fondest memory of the stand-up comedian. "Naalala ko nung malilit pa sina sophia mamasyal kami sya ako and si mje na friend namin .. dahil malayo byahe tinuturuan ng dalawang bading mag abc si sophia may dalang cheetos so pinapabasa .. chi chi cheetos .. tapos sabihin ni choco b as in ba ba bakla ituturo nya yung isa ko friend gaganti naman si mje kay choc .. b as in ba ba ba.... kulaw hehehe .. ang saya lang .. pahinga ka na choc ..
