Gabbi Garcia uploaded an emotional tribute video for her dog, Sunshine, who crossed the rainbow bridge last November.
Gabbi Garcia was in tears after the passing of her pet dog of 13 years, Sunshine, last November.
To honor Sunshine's memory, Gabbi donated her dog's leftover supplies to the Pawssion Project shelter along with 20 kg of dog and cat food.
"It's kind of our way of paying forward kasi sobrang daming nagawa ni Shine for our family. For sure, sobrang gusto niyang mapunta [ito] sa ibang dogs," said Gabbi in her vlog.
Gabbi and her sister, Alex Lopez, also got a tattoo of Sunshine to remember their dog for the rest of their lives.
Gabbi got a tattoo of Sunshine on her ankle while Alex had hers on her pelvis.
Lastly, Gabbi uploaded a tribute video for Sunshine where she recalled all of her dog's best memories with their family.
"Dearest Sunshine,
"You've always lived up to your name since the beginning. You made sure that there were no dark clouds surrounding us each day.
"You gave us nothing but the happiest memories. I remember the very first moment when mom introduced you to us and made our house a home. A home that is bright and filled with love.
"We'd always look forward to coming home from school just to be with you, we were still in elementary that time, I was eight years old and Ate was 11.
"You witnessed our lives change throughout the years, from the day Ate and I were jamming and making song covers in highschool in front of our webcams, to living my dream in performing on national TV and Ate having her own music school.
"I can't believe you almost made it to 14 years. Thank you for staying with us for that long. We will always miss hearing your footsteps around the house and doing our daily routines with you: from you being with Mom in the morning, Dad giving you the prettiest haircuts, Ate singing songs to you while you take your afternoon naps, and you being extra clingy to Me.
"We are indeed blessed with one of the strongest and most lovable dogs in the world, oh how lucky we are. Little by little, we will learn how to live each day with a smile because we know that when we look up, you'll always be there, doing what you do best, giving out the brightest and happiest sunshine.
"Thank you for showing us what true loyalty means, you are forever in our minds and in our hearts," said Gabbi.
