King James brings some much-needed inspiration and motivation for young ones through his first-ever children's book 'I Promise.'

NBA superstar Lebron James adds another feat to his accomplishments -but this time, off the hardcourt--as he is set to release his first-ever children's book titled 'I Promise' on August 11.

'I Promise' is a picture book filled with Lebron's upbeat, rhyming text that's brought to life by vibrant illustrations of New York Times-best-selling artist Nina Mata, who also did the artwork for the book of Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez titled 'She's Got This.'

The 40-page children's book is aimed at motivating children to always #StriveForGreatness, as inspired by Lebron's 'I Promise' Program's mantra.

Publisher HarperCollins describes the 'I Promise' book as “a perfect back-to-school tool for students and teachers who need an encouraging boost to start the year.”

They also said that the book is a great reminder that “tomorrow's success starts with the promises we make to ourselves and our community today.”

For years, Lebron has been hard at work in supporting children to achieve their full potential.

In 2018, he established the I Promise School (IPS) in his hometown Akron, Ohio.

IPS is an educational institution committed to helping students who are already falling behind and may potentially fall through the cracks.

So, it actually comes as no surprise that Lebron has penned an uplifting picture book for children during this difficult time.

'I Promise' is not the only children's book to be released this year that's authored by a celebrity.

The '90s rock band Guns N' Roses will also be releasing a children's picture book titled 'Sweet Child O' Mine', inspired by their iconic hit song and is expected to hit the shelves on September 1.

And -going back to Lebron--he is also reportedly working on a “middle grade” book expected to be released in 2021.

So, if you're an avid King James fan, or you just need an inspiring book for your kids to read during quarantine, you should definitely get a copy of 'I Promise.'

It will be available on hardcover, e-book, and digital audio format.
