Mylene Dizon shares how she learns about backyard farming

By Aaron Brennt Eusebio

Since the beginning of the community quarantine because of the COVID-19 pandemic, seasoned actress Mylene Dizon has manage to grow her backyard garden at their home in Silang, Cavite.

According to Mylene, she dreamed of having a farm when she was a child but it is only until this year, when most of her work got postponed because of the pandemic, that she managed to make her dream a reality.

“That was two years ago.

Mylene added that since the start of the lockdown, and the production of Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit got suspended, she took her time to go back to organic, backyard farming.

Mylene also revealed that she watches tutorials on YouTube and joined Facebook community groups about backyard farming.

“'Tapos mahilig ako magtanong at mahilig ako mag-visit ng iba't ibang gardens kasi I was very, very curious on how what are their practices, what they use para mapalago 'yung kanilang mga gulay.”

Mylene also gave some tips for people who want to try backyard farming.
