Kakai Bautista

Kakai Bautista recorded a cover of the song 'Only Hope' during the first month of the lockdown.

Actress and comedienne Kakai Bautista used a popular song to affirm her faith in the Lord during these trying times.

She recorded a cover of the Christian-themed song "Only Hope."

The song was originally sung by American rock band Switchfoot for their 1999 album 'New Way to Be Human.'

However, the song is more popularly associated with Mandy Moore who sang a version of it for the 2002 film A Walk to Remember.

Kakai revealed that she recorded the song during the first month of the quarantine.

"Lord, You are our ONLY HOPE," she wrote as she dedicated the song to God on her Instagram account.

She also shared that she credits her faith for getting her through struggles during the lockdown.

"Recorded this during our 1st month of Lockdown. Keeping my faith to survive and to go on each day," she says.

Kakai also sent a few words of encouragement for those who might find their faith wavering.

"Let's keep our Faith, and If you feel that yours is dying and giving up soon, Please don't. HOLD ON TO IT. KEEP it. Keep trusting, because He is Good All the Time!" she ends.
