Kapuso beauty Arny Ross did just.
She now owns three milk tea stores and is currently building her fourth branch in Cavite.
The talented actress burst into the showbiz scene when she joined the reality talent search 'Protégé.'
She then landed her big break when she became part of the longest-running gag show in the country Bubble Gang.
But she didn't stop there. She then transformed herself into one of the most inspiring celebrity entrepreneurs today.
In her exclusive chat with GMANetwork.com, Bubble Gang babe Arny Ross talked about how she started her business.
She also shared that she's not ashamed to admit that she is a milk tea addict.
The Kapuso actress-dancer said that her love for milk tea inspired her to invest for a franchise of Bon Appetea.
She also shared some tips on why investing in a franchise is a sound business decision.
"Bilang artista it's a good idea to franchise a business, kasi mahirap intindihin 'yung commissary, para pag-franchise magdi-deliver na lang sa iyo," Arny told GMANetwork.com.
"So, hindi ka na mamomoreblema sa mga stocks mo. 'Yun ang kagandahan sa franchise, medyo mas mahal, pero 'yung hassle mas wala."
She added that you also have to choose a franchise with a good marketing team to assist you every step of the way.
"So dapat nag-franchise sila ng isang business make sure na maganda 'yung marketing team ng ifa-franchise nila. Kasi mayroon ibang franchising company na pagkatapos mo mag-franchise hindi ka naman ganun aasikasuhin after."
Arny Ross advised people thinking about putting up a business to be very careful with handling their money. She revealed that she shelled out around Php750,000 for the franchise fee and another P1 million to P2 million for the construction of the physical store.
This amount may be huge, but for Arny Ross every peso is worth it because the return on investment is phenomenal.
"Pero for me hindi. Sa lakas niya and sa bilis ng return on investment (ROI) niya okey talaga mag-invest."
Business with boyfriend Franklin Banogon
Arny Ross milk tea business is also flourishing thanks to the help of her business partner and boyfriend of 11 years, Franklin Banogon.
They actively play a major role in making sure that their business is running smoothly.
"So when it comes to Bon Appetea I'm doing the accounting, the auditing and he (Franklin Banogon) is doing the inventory check and the operations siya 'yung nakatutok."
But she also confessed to GMANetwork.com that there are times that their ideas and strategies would clash.
"Hindi talaga maiiwasan sa business lalo na pag kailangan mo i-consider 'yung decision ng partner mo. Nagka-clash kami in terms of minsan may gusto siyang agad bilhin nang bilhin ganiyan kahit noong kaka-start pa lang namin. Ako 'yung huwag muna, palaguin muna natin."
Despite their disagreement, they still respect each other's opinion as long as it will be good for their investment in the long run.
"Pero nagko-compromise naman kami as long as ikagaganda talaga siya nung business."
Arny also realized that it is better to pick a partner who is a family member or someone you are in relationship with.
"Na-realize ko rin mahirap pag kaibigan 'yung ka-partner mo. Mas okey kung kapamilya, boyfriend or asawa mo ganun. Kami naman ni Frank 11 years na kami, so alam na namin na secured na kami sa isa't-isa that's why we decided na rin mag-business together."
With her milk tea business booming, Arny Ross is now sharing her knowledge of managing a business with her fellow actors.
In addition, she is also encouraging them to invest their money.
"Nakakatuwa sila kasi sinasabi nila nakaka-inspire naman si 'madam' they call me madam, because of the businesses. Sinasabi ko sa kanila kaya niyo rin yan."
"Kasi medyo may fear sila na baka hindi nila mag-handle [nang maayos]. Lagi ko silang ini-encourage, 'Kaya n'yo rin.'
"So dapat sa mga artistang katulad ko i-invest nila agad 'yung money nila para umiikot. Like ako before ang nangyayari lang may savings ako pero nagagastos ko, so nawawala parang dead investment lahat napupunta 'yung pera ko."
