Jennlyn Mercado names her newly re-branded style lounge after her daughter

Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado takes her salon business to the next level and is now open for franchise. But before it opens its doors to interested franchisees, one thing needs to be done first-- a makeover!

From its original name 'Fit and Form,' the salon is now called DYLN Style Lounge, named after her daughter with award-winning actor Dennis Trillo, Dylan Jayde.

“As I relaunch the brand, it's only fitting to change the name as well to welcome the change that's about to come as we formally expand our humble family,” said Jennylyn.

With a new interior design, the DYLN Style Lounge now offers a wider array of services that now includes vitamin drips.

“I guess I've always been into beauty and wellness. I'm very much into self-care and I want our customers to experience that as well.”

Dennis Trillo shows support to his wife Jennlyn Mercado by joining her at the relaunch of her style lounge in Quezon City.

Jennylyn admitted that she is very hands-on especially when it comes to the quality of services being offered by DYLN.

“I personally try everything and make sure that I myself is satisfied with the service. I really immerse myself in the experience because that is my priority above all.”

This salon business started ten years back in 2014 when Jennylyn decided to become an entrepreneur. It was supposed to be a wellness center but her plans got redirected when things didn't work out with her supposed partner.

“Things didn't go as planned so I looked for a new partner and we both decided to turn it into a salon. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise because I think the business wouldn't have survived this long if we pursued the original plan.”

Managing a salon is not a walk in the park. Aside from moving location to its current branch in Maginhawa St. Quezon City, the then 'Fit and Form' salon also went through the tough challenges brought about by the pandemic.

“It was really a scary time because there were so many uncertainties. I was personally afraid for myself and my family's health so we really procured the necessary sanitation equipment back then to ensure the safety of our customers. I'm glad we survived that phase.”

Jennlyn Mercado gets ready before the launch of Dylan Style Lounge.

Now, Jennylyn is ready to take it a notch higher and by that, she means more branches for people to enjoy and DYLN experience.

“This is it. I am ready and I am more confident to share this with more people and fellow entrepreneurs like me. It took a while because I really studied everything closely and I want to be more than 100% ready to sit down and explore opportunities with potential franchisees.”

Jennylyn is also planning to open Dylan Lounge branches in the south in 2025.
